My Prayer to Jesus

Dear Jesus,

Thank you for asking God to forgive my sins so I can go to heaven. Also I thank you for coming down to earth and proclaiming the good news to me. The Stations of the cross were very painful and hard for you, yet you didn't complain. Please help me to be with you in this hard time.

What Happened on Ash Wednesday

Mostly people would think "Ash Wednesday" is something about ashes. It's not only that, it's about the preparation of Jesus’s death and resurrection. Now I am going to tell you about "What happened on Ash Wednesday".

"You sit here Emmanuel" said Mrs Tui as her voice echoed in the church. "OK", I replied sitting down. I shook with nervous as time dragged on like a snail slivering on a slippery surface. Soon the church filled it's self with ton's of people. Now I urgently asked people who surrounded me if they had a paper. As soon as I grabbed a paper, I learnt my lines for the .

Next Robbertanna stood up welcomed everyone and read the introduction and the whole entire congregation sang loudly. After the whole school sang, we carefully listened to Father Iosefa. Then we all sat down.

As the mass carried on song after song, the school (and some other people) stood up to receive “the ashes on the forehead”.
The ashes slippery touched my forehead as it tickled my forehead, like a eel sliding in the sand. (At least it’s holy).

So I started to walk again to the front of the altar to eat the Holy Eucharist. Finally we sang the last song of the mass and walked out of the church.

My Netbook Experience

“Yeah” I shouted. Monday had arrived and I shook with excitement. Why you may ask yourself was because St Pius X was part of the Manakalani Project and each student's in the Tamaki Cluster was going to get a netbook . Monday the 7th of March was our day in history, the moment we got our netnook work change the way we learn for ever even more than when computers arrived in our classroom.

Soon the room was filled with echoes as Room7 countdown 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 they shouted . As my finger made contact with the “on” button, the netbook glowed brightly just like the dawn of a new day.

Then as Miss G’s voice echoed around the room, we all listened to it. Miss G said "the important is to be very careful not to drop the net book and other safety reasons. Don’t leave them on the corner of your desk or table. We don’t want them to crash!".

After that I typed in my classified password and impatiently for the net book to load.
Next I navigated to the games section, punched the keyboard and played “Tuxmath”.As I was still playing, Mrs Tui said “shut off all net book's and put them inside the cardboard boxes”.
Sadly this happened and I slowly boxed my net book and soon drifted off to normal school things.

My Earthquake Poem

Shake, shake, earthquake,
The buildings crash down,
Boom, boom, earthquake,
Everyone runs to town.

No, no, earthquake,
Soon people were running,
No good earthquake,
Soon people were dying.

Now, now, earthquake,
People are in pain,
Bye, bye, earthquake,

Reflection 2010

Goldilocks and the Police

The Year 6's have worked very hard on their drama this term.  This group adapted the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears.   Not bad seeings as all the equipment used was brand new and the first time any of us had ever used i-movie :-)

Liturgy

On a Monday morning, Room 6 went inside the echoing hall to have a liturgy. When we all sat down inside the hall, we said the sign of the cross.

First we listened to Rick saying some information about ‘All Saint’s Day’. We then listened boringly to Timote and Justice saying some surprisingly short readings.

Before the liturgy was finished, we sang a tedious song that we messed up and we sang flat. Finally, we wearily walked outside the hall and carried on with our normal school routine.
