Litter, it is no good,
It isn’t good for the neighborhood,
Litter, it is so bad,
You would have to hide it from your dad.
Litter, it is a mess,
You will have to remove it before it becomes a pest,
Litter, it is a waste,
You have to be careful not to mix it with paste.
Litter, it is very filthy,
You are sure to be unhealthy,
Litter, it is annoying,
I have got to go now before it starts overflowing.

Anzac Letter
30 September 1940
Main Street,
Onehunga
Dear Uncle Harry,
The war is bad, blood is scattered everywhere around the dugout. My fellow Captain, Comrade and I walk through the forest when it’s time to go to the latrine and occasionally it is was burning after recent shelling or from the bombing. When it is dark you have to watch for a shell bombs, which are like a bog.
On a rescent exchange with the enemy, we struggled to breath, with the heavy smoke drifting across the place. My trio found a hut, “The enemy could be inside”I thought to myself. Carefully, we kicked the door off its hinges and found 2 Nazi's ready to fire guns directly at us.
Grabbing the riot shields that lay in the open cupboard next to the door, we blocked all the bullets that were fired at us from point blank range. Running with the riot shields, I snatched the pistols that lay on the table.
But NO!, there were no bullets in the pistols. I grabbed the pistols and threw them at the Nazi’s, hoping to distract them. Luckily my Captain fired a gun at both of the Nazi’s which frightened them and they ran for their lives. We grabbed all the guns we could carry and marched out of the forest. A troop truck picked us up and drove us down the rough road back to HQ.
Well I think things have not changed much since when you were fighting over here in April 1917.
I miss Aunty’s home cooking and our Saturday afternoons at the races. Please put a bet on for me next time you go and I will pay you out of the winnings.
Take care,
E.T

5 reasons why a Netbook is a great learning tool
The Netbook is a great learning tool because........
The Internet gives you access to heaps of information. My example would be because it is great for doing research on something when books have got not enough information.
It is quicker than handwriting and you don’t need to sharpen your pencil if your using one. My example if you learn how to touch type, you can see it is much faster than a pencil or pen.
It is much more easier to type than to write. But if you write with a pencil and made a mistake and will need a eraser. My example would be if you were to use the Netbook, you could just press the backspace button and it would be gone like that.
When you are bored and want to have some fun, you could play some games or music on the Netbook. My example is to do it when times are appropriate and and don't put the volume up too high.
Finally the Netbook is a good use for school children because your documents can instantly be seen by the teacher on Google Docs once you “file” it. My example is to file a document once you created and named it.
That is why I strongly believe that the Netbook is a good learning tool because it gives you access to the Internet.

My Prayer to Jesus
Dear Jesus,
Thank you for asking God to forgive my sins so I can go to heaven. Also I thank you for coming down to earth and proclaiming the good news to me. The Stations of the cross were very painful and hard for you, yet you didn't complain. Please help me to be with you in this hard time.
Amen

What Happened on Ash Wednesday
Mostly people would think "Ash Wednesday" is something about ashes. It's not only that, it's about the preparation of Jesus’s death and resurrection. Now I am going to tell you about "What happened on Ash Wednesday".
"You sit here Emmanuel" said Mrs Tui as her voice echoed in the church. "OK", I replied sitting down. I shook with nervous as time dragged on like a snail slivering on a slippery surface. Soon the church filled it's self with ton's of people. Now I urgently asked people who surrounded me if they had a paper. As soon as I grabbed a paper, I learnt my lines for the .
Next Robbertanna stood up welcomed everyone and read the introduction and the whole entire congregation sang loudly. After the whole school sang, we carefully listened to Father Iosefa. Then we all sat down.
As the mass carried on song after song, the school (and some other people) stood up to receive “the ashes on the forehead”.
The ashes slippery touched my forehead as it tickled my forehead, like a eel sliding in the sand. (At least it’s holy).
So I started to walk again to the front of the altar to eat the Holy Eucharist. Finally we sang the last song of the mass and walked out of the church.

My Netbook Experience
“Yeah” I shouted. Monday had arrived and I shook with excitement. Why you may ask yourself was because St Pius X was part of the Manakalani Project and each student's in the Tamaki Cluster was going to get a netbook . Monday the 7th of March was our day in history, the moment we got our netnook work change the way we learn for ever even more than when computers arrived in our classroom.
Soon the room was filled with echoes as Room7 countdown 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 they shouted . As my finger made contact with the “on” button, the netbook glowed brightly just like the dawn of a new day.
Then as Miss G’s voice echoed around the room, we all listened to it. Miss G said "the important is to be very careful not to drop the net book and other safety reasons. Don’t leave them on the corner of your desk or table. We don’t want them to crash!".
After that I typed in my classified password and impatiently for the net book to load.
Next I navigated to the games section, punched the keyboard and played “Tuxmath”.As I was still playing, Mrs Tui said “shut off all net book's and put them inside the cardboard boxes”.
Sadly this happened and I slowly boxed my net book and soon drifted off to normal school things.

My Earthquake Poem
Shake, shake, earthquake,
The buildings crash down,
Boom, boom, earthquake,
Everyone runs to town.
No, no, earthquake,
Soon people were running,
No good earthquake,
Soon people were dying.
Now, now, earthquake,
People are in pain,
Bye, bye, earthquake,
Please don't come again.
The buildings crash down,
Boom, boom, earthquake,
Everyone runs to town.
No, no, earthquake,
Soon people were running,
No good earthquake,
Soon people were dying.
Now, now, earthquake,
People are in pain,
Bye, bye, earthquake,
Please don't come again.
